End of March, a really early Easter we are always looking at the weather at this time of year when we walk through the mountains. Bromsgrove Gold DofE’ers were fully prepared and after the kit check, we had a couple of hats to hand out, which the students found beneficial in the end. The weather was interesting, the winds were up ( not being bowled over strong) which dropped the temperature, so the Badger Instructors were in their points of most usefulness to support the teams, and when they stopped we hid them behind walls, vehicles to get out of the wind, they even popped into Dubs hut to hide from the elements. We had decided as a team that the students would drop to the Badger wet Weather routes with Honister Mine, Dubs hut being the highest point, to stay away from the elements.

The last was a proper spring day where the DofE teams got over some tops in the Lake District.

Well done to all students, teachers and Badger Instructors for making this work in some challenging conditions. Well done .:0)
